APPARATUS FOR DUPLICATING CLOCK IN TRANSCODING SELECTOR BANK IN BASE STATION CONTROLLER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for duplicating a clock in a TSB(Transcoding Selector Bank) in a BSC(Base Station Controller) is provided to improve the reliability of a system by duplicating a clock in a TSB. CONSTITUTION: A TSB clock duplication system consists of a clock distribution part(100) and a TSB(200). The clock distribution part(100) receives a clock from a GPS receiver, generates necessary clocks for a BSC, and distributes them to each of the components of the BSC. The TSB(200) is composed of a voice and signal information interface part(10) and a voice conversion part(20). The voice and signal information interface part(10) selects either a clock obtained from the clock distribution part(100) or a clock extracted from signal information transmitted from an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(300) and transfers the selected one to the voice conversion part(20). The voice conversion part(20), synchronized with the clock supplied from the voice and signal information interface part(10), converts packet data and PCM data mutually.
