PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high Cr ferritic heat resistant steel excellent in long time creep strength at a high temperature of >650 deg.C and moreover excellent in oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: This heat resistant steel contains >=13 wt.% Cr, contains Mo and W, in which a ferritic phase occupies >=70 vol.% and is precipitately strengthened by intermetallic compounds.
