PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cleaning apparatus not using a fine mesh filter in the removal of fine particles in a waste liquid and not using a chelating resin in the removal of heavy metals. SOLUTION: In a liquid cleaning apparatus wherein an adsorbent 5 consisting of basic magnesium sulfate and magnesium hydroxide is arranged between first and second filter beds 3, 4, (1) a liquid is passed through the adsorbent 5 to flocculate fine particles to arrest them by the filter bed 4 and (2) the liquid is passed through the adsorbent 5 to bond heavy metal ions to the hydroxyl group of the adsorbent 5 to solidify them and heavy metal particles are flocculated to be arrested by the filler bed 4 and (3) a DC current is supplied to the liquid to generate both of H and OH ions to bond and solidify OH ions, the hydroxyl group of the adsorbent 5 and heavy metal ions and the formed particles are arrested by the filter bed. (4) an adsorbent 5 comprising a cellulose powder is arranged between the filter beds 3, 4 to perform the same treatment as the process (3). |
