An interactive television program guide system is provided in which channel numbers may be assigned to both television channels and web sites. An interactive television program guide or other interactive television application may display screens that contain information for both television channel numbers and web site channel numbers. Users may set reminders, favorites, and parental controls for television channels and web site channels. An interactive television program guide application may display the web site channel numbers on flip and browse overlay bars.
