PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the correction device of a broadcast station name in a radio receiver where two displays differ, a user is confused or erroneous recognition is given to the user if multiplex broadcast is added to regular broadcast in a broadcast station at the time of receiving the radio broadcast station. SOLUTION: A regular/multiplex detection part 11 connected to a microphone 1 detects whether the received radio broadcast station includes only regular broadcast or multiple broadcast. A reception f-retrieval part 12 retrieves data matched with received frequency data of the radio broadcast station by plural pieces of transmission frequency data of memories (ROM 3 and RAM 4). A station name retrieval part 13 retrieves broadcast station name data retrieved by the reception f-retrieval part 12 by plural pieces of broadcast station name data stored in the memories (ROM 3 and RAM 4). When a control part 145 detects that the received radio broadcast station is regular broadcast, the control part 14 obtains regular broadcast station name data applied to regular broadcast and obtains multiplex broadcast station name data when multiplex broadcast is received. Priority is given to regular broadcast station name data or multiplex broadcast station name data and the broadcast station name is displayed on a display unit 5.
