PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a wooden shutter blade reducing the material cost than before and capable of preventing a warp deformation and provide the wooden shutter blade. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, a plurality of wood plates with the prescribed length, width, and thickness are prepared as substrates. Glue is applied to the side faces of the substrates, and they are firmly pressed at a high pressure to form a wood lump. When the substrates are connected together, the substrates having the border lines of the annual rings on the end faces of the substrates in opposite directions are adjacently aligned. The wood lump is horizontally cut to the prescribed width to form a wooden blade with the prescribed thickness. When the surface of the wooden blade is polished with sand paper and coated with a paint, the wooden shutter blade is completed.
