Disclosed is a cooling article (10) comprising a cooling pad (20) and a phase change material (30). The cooling pad (20) includes a cooling composition capable of generating a cold temperature or a range of cold temperatures for a period of time. The phase change material (30) prolongs the period of time during which the cold temperature is generated and/or moderates the minimum cold temperature generated.
