PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical catheter wire which is at least partially coated with hydrophilic coating, has a super-elastic metal core, is provided with a practically linear and non-transformable distal wire section, the solidity of which is preferably decreased in its distal section and the profile at the leading end of which is bigger than the distal wire section. SOLUTION: The medical catheter wire assembly to be used in the lumen of a medical catheter comprises a proximal wire section, a middle wire section, a distal wire section which is more flexible than the middle wire section and is practically linear and non-transformable, a super-elastic metal core which has a smooth coating covering at least a part of the middle and the distal wire sections, and a leading end portion. The leading end portion, the diameter of which can be widened, is adjacent to the distal wire section, has the profile which is bigger than the distal wire section and is practically non-transformable. |
