PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum preservation container wherewith the state of vacuum inside the container can be discerned easily from the outside. SOLUTION: For a vacuum preservation container 1 comprising a container main body 3 for housing matters to be preserved and a cover member 2 for sealing up the container main body, a check valve 10 which makes ventilation available from the inside to the outside while unavailable from the outside to the inside and an indicator 12 for indicating the degree of negative pressure for the inside produced by decreasing the internal pressure with ventilation made through the check valve are provided.
