PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new synthetic intermediate for a ketone derivative and a method for producing the new intermediate. SOLUTION: The objective new compound that is useful as a synthetic intermediate of a ketone derivative is represented by formula (II) (wherein R2 is H, an alkyl or the like; Q is an alkoxy-alkyl, tetrahydropyranyl or the like; L is an alkoxy, imidazol-1-yl or N-methyl-N-methoxyamino; n is 0, 1 or 2). The compound of formula (I) [wherein individual signals are synonymous with those in the formula (II)] is produced by allowing the new intermediate compound of formula (II) to react with a compound of formula (III): R1-M (wherein R1 is phenyl or a heterocyclic group or the like; M is a lithium or magnesium halide).
