PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which can effectively prevent the infiltration of insects into the device and can more surely protect a disk. SOLUTION: Metallic mesh 11 for preventing the intrusion of the insects, such as ants, more particularly the insects as large as to bite and break a membrane sheet 12 functioning as a filter for a respiration hole 9 opened at an upper cap 7 of the disk device 100 is arranged between the membrane sheet 12 and the respiration hole 9. As a result, the disk may be more safely protected and the filter may be protected and therefore stable filtering performance may be maintained.
