PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamper for optical disk substrates capable of recording ID information when the optical disk substrates are manufactured by injection molding, etc., of resins. SOLUTION: The stamper 12 for the optical disk substrates which manufactures the optical disk substrates by transferring the rugged shapes of an information surface 16 having the rugged shapes from a stamper body 14 formed with this information surface is provided with a substrate recognition information recording member 18 capable of forming the reloadable ruggedness by light energy at the prescribed point exclusive of the information surface on the surface of the stamper body in such a manner that the optical disk substrates may be recognized by one sheet each. As a result, the different ID information is recorded by rewriting the recording contents of the substrate recognition information recording member when the optical disk substrates are manufactured by injection molding, etc., of the resins.
