摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which cooling air can be passed through in an enough flow amount, and therefore, an overheated state of the light source lamp can be effectively and surely prevented and a long use life of the lamp is obtained. SOLUTION: The light source device consists of a condensing mirror having an opening in the front and a center through hole in the rear, a light source lamp disposed in the condensing mirror, a front reflection mirror disposed in the front of the condensing mirror, and a connecting plate member disposed between the front edge of the condensing mirror and the rear edge of the front reflection mirror and having an aperture for radiation of light in the center region. The three members of the condensing mirror, connecting plate member and front reflection mirror are connected with the front edge of the condensing mirror in contact with the back face of the connecting plate member and with the rear edge of the front reflection mirror in contact with the front face of the connecting plate member, and a vacancy to pass cooling air is formed between the center through hole of the condensing mirror and the light source lamp. Moreover, a passage for the cooling air to communicate the inside of the front reflection mirror with the outside of the condensing mirror is formed in the connecting plate member.
