PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden maul making the work for connecting a beam to a column via a joint means very simple and making its handling very simple. SOLUTION: This wooden maul mainly comprises a 2 guide support section held in an erect state, a guide support section 5 provided vertically movably against the guide support section 2, a mount section 3 provided at the upper section of the guide support section 2 and mounted on a driven member w such as a beam to be driven, a hammer section 6 provided nearly at the upper section of the guide support section 5 to apply impact force to the mount section 3, an operation grip section 7 provided nearly at the lower section of the guide support section 5 to vertically move the guide support section 5, and a collision face section 9 provided on the upper face of the mount section 3 to collide with the hammer section 6.
