PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device having an excellent operability and a measuring system. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with observation means 27a, 27b for observing a measuring object, support means 21, 24, 27 for supporting the measuring object and the observation means 27a, 27b relatively movably along one or more axes of coordinates determined beforehand, a counter means for counting a relative movement quantity between the measuring object and the observation means 27a, 27b, a conversion means for converting the counted value by the counter means into coordinated of the observation point on the measuring object, a display means 35 for displaying the coordinates obtained by the conversion means, and a display control means for changing a display content of the display means 35 into the content corresponding to an output signal from a data processing device 14, when the external data processing device 14 is connected electrically.
