PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image detector, where line electrodes for strip electrodes and sub line electrodes for sub electrodes are alternately arranged and both the line electrodes are not short-circuited. SOLUTION: An insulation layer 28 transparent to a read light L2 is provided to the outside of a 2nd electrode layer 25 provided with an element 26 for a stripe electrode 26. An element 27a for the sub electrode 27 is placed, with the elements 26a, 27a being placed alternately at the outside of the insulation layer 28. The thickness of the insulation layer 28 is selected as thin as possible, in a range where the elements 26a, 27a are not short-circuited.
