PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion accelerating method and device for improving fuel consumption and reducing unburnt gas and noxious exhaust matter such as nitrogen oxides in an internal combustion engine such as a gasoline engine, a diesel engine and an LPG engine. SOLUTION: Combustion accelerating gas 47 composed of a mixture of air and vapor of a combustion accelerator composed of alcohol, turpentine oil and distilled water is recovered into a collector chamber 48, and the electric field of minus potential of -1k--30k is applied to the combustion accelerating chamber 50. The combustion accelerating gas 47 is then supplied to a combustion chamber 20 of the internal combustion engine 10 to improve combustion efficiency. |
