PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system capable of generating the image of a simple object in which a brightness degree changes according as how the light of a light source shines upon the object with a small processing burden and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: This image generation system includes a simple light source processing operating part 114 performing a simple light source processing of the simple object. The part 114 operates information on at least either the brightness or color of a primitive surface constituting the simple object on the basis of the angular difference between the visual line vector of a virtual camera and a light vector from a light source. 1st and 2nd color information are also set in the primitive surface, a complementary operation is performed on the basis of the 1st and 2nd color information and the information on at least either the calculated brightness or color about one primitive surface constituting the simple object, and information on the color of the primitive surface is operated.
