PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphic measuring method for simplifying a measuring operation and a recording medium having a program for executing the method recorded therein, in a measuring device used for product inspection or the like. SOLUTION: This graphic measuring method comprises the first step for giving the position on a measuring object, the second step for housing data corresponding to the given position, the third step for indicating graphics to be measured, the fourth step for extracting values necessary for determining the graphics according to the indicated graphics from the data, and the fifth step for determining the indicated graphics from the extracted data. As only indication of the kind of the graphics required to be measured is required after position input in this graphic measuring method, the number of operations can be reduced furthermore than before.
