An oil separator (1) for refrigerant fluids comprising: a tubular lodge (2) closed at the ends through an upper cap (21) and a lower cap (22), provided with an inlet (5) of the refrigerant fluid (10) to be separated from oil and an outlet (7) for the fluid separated from oil and containing a central filtering unit (3) consisting of a tubular envelope (30) inside provided with a filtering mass (35). Between tubular envelope (30) and the inner surface of the tubular body (2) there is a annular chamber (62) in which there is a peripheral filtering unit (50) through which the refrigerant fluid (10) coming from the inlet (5) is flowing. <IMAGE>
