PURPOSE:To provide a window assembly for a vehicle, which can prevents the breakdown of a window plate at the time of shock during manufacture, and can prevent the scattering of fragments even if it has broken down, and raises the sticking tendency between the window plate and a gasket, and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION:This is a window assembly where a gasket is made of synthetic resin or rubber along the peripheral edge of a window plate, and the window plate 2 consists of a complex where a hard transparent layer 2, outside of a car, and a soft transparent material 2b, inside of the car, are stacked. The gasket 3 has a projection 3b, which extends to cover the outside surface side of the periphery of the window plate 2 from the gasket body 3a being made along the periphery of the window plate 2, and a retaining part 3c, which extends to the rear side so as to catch the window plate 2 between itself and the projection 3b, and the retaining pat 3c of the gasket 3 is fixed to the soft transparent layer 2b; this is such a window assembly for a vehicle. |
