PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device having a static electricity preventing function and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the damage of the liquid crystal display device due to the static electricity by connecting a plurality of static electricity preventing circuits to lines and forming shorting bars in cutting lines of the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device having a static electricity preventing function includes a transparent insulation substrate having pixel electrodes displaying images and semiconductor elements connected to the pixel electrodes, a plurality of lines(100) formed on the first substrate and electrically connected to the semiconductor elements, and a plurality of spark induction circuits(130) connected to adjacent lines among the plurality of lines and consuming static electricity generated from the first substrate.
