The aspirating device is for vehicle exhaust gases, particularly a firefighting vehicle, involves an exhaust pipe (3) on top of the vehicle (2) with a horizontal end part (4). The suction device (1) incorporates an aspirating hose (12) with an end part (13) adjustable to an exhaust gas suction position in relation to the exhaust pipe horizontal end part. A hand grip (14) is fitted on the aspirating hose, which is downwardly directed so that personnel on the vehicle can reach it. On the hand grip is a retaining part (20) and a similar such part (18) is provided on the vehicle. The hand grip retaining part can be brought into contact with the similar part on the vehicle. In the engaged position of these parts, the aspirating hose end part is in the exhaust gas suction position. |
