[Also in Division A4] The base of a brush comprises a padded brush element B having bristles inclined in the same direction and being clamped to a base-plate 1 by a frame 13, said base being normally locked against the brush body 10 by a helical spring but being axially movable to a position in which the base is pivotable about the axis. The base-plate 1 has a central two-part bore 2 the upper part 4 of which has a square cross-sectional bore 5 in which a bolt 6 is held. On depressing the knob 7 of the bolt against the spring 9, the base of the brush is detached from the brush body 10 and may be rotated through 180 degrees so that the bristles are inclined in the opposite direction relative to the handle 16. On release of the knob 7, the spring returns to its original position and pulls the base against the free edge of the side walls 101. |
