PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the junction of a fixing member, for an optical semiconductor package with a translucent member, from being weak, and the optical valid diameter of the translucent member from being small, and an optical focal distance from fluctuating. SOLUTION: The junction part of a cylindrical fixing member 3, having a spherical translucent member 4 inscribed in the inside through a low fusing glass, is formed so as to be made circular almost in parallel with the inscribed part of the fixing member 3 and the translucent member 4, and if the diameter of the translucent member 4 is defined as R, then the width in a direction orthogonally crossing an optical direction, of the junction part is set to range from 25μm to 0.32R (0.32R>25μm). Also, in a semiconductor package structure for easily attaining the constitution, one part of the translucent member 4 is made to project from the inside one edge of the optical semiconductor of the fixing member 3 by 0.25R-0.94R. Also, the translucent member 4 is constituted so that diameter variation can be set to 0.64μm or smaller, and that sphericity can be set so as to be 0.64μm or smaller.
