SOLUTION: At the time of arriving at a double track part 20 of a road 14, an automatic operation vehicle receives target time for arriving at a succeeding double track part 20 and weather information such as rainfall, snowfall and wind velocity from a control center 26. A speed pattern from the current double track part 20 up to the succeeding double track part 20 is generated by reducing the speed of the vehicle successively from the highest section of a limited maximum vehicle speed or reducing the vehicle speed at a fixed rate in all sections of a previously set upper limit speed pattern in accordance with the traveling environment so that the vehicle arrives at the succeeding double track part 20 at the target time. Then the vehicle is allowed to travel in accordance with the generated speed pattern.
