PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery holder with means for mounting a battery in a direction different from the vertical direction to the base plate that ensures the electrical connection and physical attachment of the battery better than the conventional type. SOLUTION: A battery holder comprises a housing 100 for holding a battery, first contact 200 for resiliently contacting one terminal of the battery attached to the base plate of the housing, and second contact 300 for resiliently contacting the other face of the battery. A battery insertion opening P is formed to receive the battery along the base plate in the housing 100, first contact 200, or second contact 300, and which is smaller than the size of the battery. |
