PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently avoid the deterioration of a battery property caused by leaking fluid or doping moisture by covering the sheathing can of the battery with a gasket that has a heat-resistance, cold-resistance, low water absorption property, molding capacity, a compression permanent distortion rate. SOLUTION: In an encapsulated battery accommodating a battery body 2 into which an electrolyte is impregnated into a sheathing can and permitting its lid 7 to be encapsulated into the opening of the sheathing can 1 by a gasket 8, it is constituted by a ring 8P by a plastomer having an electrolyte-resistance and a seal part 8E in the shape of ring by an elastomer. The elastomer constituting the seal part 8E in the shape of ring is constituted by an elastomer under a testing condition, that is it is 70 deg.C, 22 hours, and a compression set ratio of being equal to or less than 50% in a testing method by JIS K6301. It maintains a certainly seal effect by the elastomer and prohibits a shape change according to the ring 8P by the elastomer under high temperature of the elastomer. |
