PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly establish frame synchronization and easily confirm transmission capability in a terminal and multiplex transmission method capable of simultaneously transmitting/receiving voice data and non-voice data. SOLUTION: The terminal is provided with a multiplexer section 2 that multiplexes compression-coded voice data and non-voice data depending on their frame configuration, a BAS code control section 1 that user the non-voice data and a BAS code denoting the transmission capability of the non-voice data to mutually exchange the transmission capability of the non-voice data, a synchronization processing section 11 that takes initial frame synchronization on the basis of initial frame data including an FAS code and then takes frame synchronization with the FAS code after that, and a demultiplexer section 3 that demultiplexes the non-voice data and the voice data corresponding to the transmission capability by the BAS code control section 1, uses data including the FAS code and its CRC arithmetic result for the initial frame data to detect double frame synchronization.
