PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variations of chroma due to change of an amount of applied current, or elapse of light emitting time in a laminated light emitting layer type of an organic EL(electroluminescent) element. SOLUTION: In the organic EL element 100, a light emitting layer 4 containing organic compound is fitted between a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 6. In the light emitting layer 4, a hole carrying light emitting layer 4a containing hole carrier material as base material and first fluorescent material and an electron carrying light emitting layer 4b containing electron carrying material as base material and second fluorescence material are laminated, and both light emitting layers 4a, 4b are made to emit at the same time. Herein, both the first and second fluorescent materials consist of two kinds of fluorescent materials so that light emitting spectrums of the hole carrying light emitting layer 4a and the electron carrying light emitting layer 4b are the same.
