PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent reflecting characteristic from waveguides even when a gap is caused in waveguide joints. SOLUTION: A shim 30 consisting of a cylinder section 31 whose outer diameter is equal to the inner diameter of a 1st waveguide 10 and of a flange section 32 formed to one end of the cylinder section 31 is prepared. A 2nd waveguide 20 is pushed to the 1st waveguide 10 while the outer end of the cylinder section 31 of the shim 30 is inserted into the 1st waveguide 10 and an end face of the 2nd waveguide 20 is in contact with the flange section 32 of the shim 30.
