PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focusing method for optical image receiving facility that utilizes frequencies different between the optical image receiving facility (e.g. a CRT display device) and a CCD camera, allowing the CCD camera to photograph a specific pattern displayed on the optical image receiving facility and causing an interference onto a monitor screen of the optical image receiving facility thereby permitting focusing. SOLUTION: The focusing method for optical image receiving facility includes a step where a periodic and oriented pattern is generated on the optical image receiving facility (10), a step where the CCD camera (20) photographs a pattern displayed on the optical image receiving facility (10), and a step where focusing is conducted on the basis of a pattern of interference fringes displayed on the monitor by the CCD camera (20).
