PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a plurality of clients to arbitramly select images photographed by electronic cameras arranged at a plurality of fixed point positions and to observe images any time without producing time delays when requesting image reception. SOLUTION: This remote photographing system, provided with a server which is connected to the electronic cameras and clients via communication lines, remotely controls the electronic cameras and is also for transmitting the images photographed by the electronic cameras to the clients, a server 10 executes reception and transmission by alternately switching a 1st thread, with which the electronic cameras 31 to 33 are remotely controlled and the images photographed by the cameras are received and a 2nd thread, with which the images photographed by the cameras 31 to 33 transmitted to the clients 41 and 42.
