PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation sheet where the problems such as reduction of productivity caused by executing alignment operation by providing an alignment layer, coloring of a screen in an oblique-viewing direction, reduction in productivity caused by multilayered structure and the like are resolved and a liquid crystal display device using the optical compensation sheet. SOLUTION: An optical compensation sheet comprising at least one layer including at least one kind of liquid crystalline compound, which has a negative value of permittivity anisotropy (Δε) and is not optically uniaxial on a substrate, is used. |
