<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional mailing list service such that the same mail is delivered to all registered participants and a mail is transmitted to even a user who is not desired by an originating subscriber. SOLUTION: In the mailing list destination control system for a client/server electronic mail system, the server side is provided with a mailing list information storage means where user information of each mailing list is stored, a retrieval means which retrieves mailing list information from a mailing list address designated by a client, and a return means which returns retrieved mailing list information to the client device, and the client is provided with a destination input means which inputs the destination of an electronic mail and a destination selection means which displays mailing list information received from the server device and transfers a selected destination to the destination input means.</p> |
