PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This image processor consists of an image preprocessing part for executing preprocessing concerning image data on an original by prescanning, an image main processing part for processing image data by main scanning based on the result of the prescanning by the image prescanning part, a memory shared by a part of the image preprocessing part and apart of the image main processing part and a switching part for storing data in the memory for the partial processing of the picture preprocessing part at prescanning and for storing data in the memory for the processing of the image preprocessing part at scanning.
