PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device which can be easily corrected on aberration by shifting a lens and lessened in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup device 11 is reduced to 30μm or so in thickness through a chemical polishing process so as to be flexible. The bottom of the recess 13 of a package 12 is curved so as to turn cylindrical or spherical and made to suck the solid-state image pickup device 11 through a hole 18, by which the image pickup device 11 is curved conforming to the shape of the bottom of the recess 13 and fixed.
