PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image collating device capable of performing collation in a short time and immediately obtaining collation results. SOLUTION: An area definition program displays the slip image of a sample in a window 11 and makes an operator define an image area should be collated by an image collating device. A frame showing the image area defined by the operator is displayed in the window 11. An attribute corresponding to the image area defined by the operator is also displayed in a window 12. An image collation program performs collation only of the image area defined by the operator in this way.
