PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibacterial polyurethane resin by adding an ingredient of tea to a polyurethane resin polymerizable at near room temperature not accompanied by high temperature. SOLUTION: This resin consists of a matrix comprising a polyurethane resin obtained by mixing and reacting a starting material containing a polyol and an isocyanate and a disperse phase comprising an antibacterial agent comprising a powder containing tea or an ingredient of tea and dispersed in the matrix. The polyurethane resin matrix may be in the form of a foam-like porous material or a nonporous bulk material. The antibacterial agent used may be a power of tea catechin, tea saponin or tea tannin which is an ingredient of tea or may be a powder formed by fixing a finely divided tea powder or tea component in a carrier by adhesion and adsorption. |
