PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chroma noise reducing method for a digital image which can use a large blur-kernel without generating a color blotting at an image edge. SOLUTION: This method of removing noise from an image group of digital images by one pixel at a time, prepares a map of the characteristics of the digiatal images (a), stores the original value of an object pixel obtained from the chracteristics map (b), decides a shape variable adjacent area composed of cleaning pixels about the original value of the object image by using the characteristics value obtained from the map (c), changes the original values of the object pixel in a digital image so as to clean the noise by using the adjacent area composed of the cleaning pixels and the value of the object pixel (d) and repeats the steps (a) to (d) about other object pixels (e). |
