PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient reliability improving system at an application level concerning the design of a distributed object system. SOLUTION: As a method for copying an object, both the method of Active Replication and the method of Passive Replication are adopted and a guideline is provided for showing which of methods is to be used for suitably copying a certain object.
