PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized switch for dc current improved to realize quick turn off and slow turn on for use of power tools such as portable drill and other electric tools. SOLUTION: The switch is for dc current and comprises a movable contact piece supported by a support member fixed to the main body of the switch and capable of rotating around the center part as fulcrum, a pushing member attached to an actuating member and contacting and always pushing the movable piece with free sliding movement, and a static contact fixed to the main body of the switch and contacting the movable contact. At the end of the movable piece, and an elastic member which is engaged to an engaging member before the contact with the static contact by press of the pressing member attached to the actuating member.
