METHOD FOR CORRECTING FREQUENCY AT RECEIVING TERMINAL OF PACKET TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is improved by limiting the calculation frequency in consideration of the terminal performance when a data packet having a large frequency shift is received and also to provide a receiver and a frequency correction method. SOLUTION: A commercial terminal is provided with a local oscillator which is not so highly accurate and uses a carrier having a comparatively large frequency error about the logical reference value. A receiver terminal improves the receiving signal having such frequency shift. Thereby a function Z(Δf) is calculated to the least number of points and accordingly the maximum value of a discrete error function Z(Δf) can be fast obtained with a prescribed accuracy. Then a frequency error Δf is estimated.
