The undercarriage leg comprises a caisson (11), a sliding rod (14) and a rotating sleeve (21) connected to an orientation control device (20) for the set of wheels. The undercarriage leg is braced by a strut (30) whose upper arm (31) is articulated on a top point (34) of the aircraft structure, and whose lower arm (32) is articulated on a caisson attachment point (35) beyond the rotating sleeve.
