PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone easier to use by expanding the function of a telephone directory and expanding functions related to the telephone directory concerning a telephone equipped with an attachable and detachable telephone directory storage medium. SOLUTION: This telephone set has the identification data storage area and telephone directory expansion area of the attachable and detachable telephone directory storage medium inside the telephone, links the telephone directory expansion function area and the telephone directory on the storage medium when identification data are coincident with the identification data on the telephone directory storage medium, and can use them as an integrated telephone directory.
