PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caller ID service dealing device, which can flexibly deal with the change of service contents and further enables upgrading concerning the addition of a service. SOLUTION: A caller ID service dealing device 11 is provided with a program memory area 17 so as to flexibly deal with service contents, the format of communication with an exchange, and a program corresponding to the service contents change or addition is transmitted from the exchange. Then, the caller ID service dealing device 11 can flexibly deal with the change of service contents such as change of caller ID service contents, addition of a novel caller ID service or error in service contents between respective telephone companies (carriers) by downloading required data without individually developing devices and further enables upgrading concerning the addition of a service.
