RECEIVED MAIL DISPLAY METHOD, ELECTRONIC MAIL TERMINAL EQUIPMENT WITH PICTOGRAPH CONVERTING FUNCTION AND MAIL REPEATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly display mail sentences by automatically converting words in the received electronic mail sentences to pictographs (icons). SOLUTION: The correspondence of words and pictographs is recorded in a word table inside a dictionary 29 for KANA/KANJI conversion. A KANJI/ pictograph converting part 28 has a function for automatically replacing words in the mail sentences with pictographs while referring to the word table. When a internet mail or the like is received, the words in these mail sentences are replaced with pictographs while using the KANJI /pictograph converting part 28 and displayed on a display part 23 for a user by an electronic mail control part 26. When the user instructs any pictograph in the displayed mail sentences, the word of the instructed pictograph before replacement is displayed.
