PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that can intuitionally and quickly set a visual range limit in an easily understandable way by displaying an image within a range set as a visible range and an image at the outside of the range in different display forms. SOLUTION: The image processing unit of this invention has a display control means that allows a display device to display a panorama image resulting from joining a plurality of images photographed by a controllable photographing device and a setting means that sets a visible range denoting a permissible range of the panorama image through the control of the photographing device. The display control means allows the display device to display an image within a range set as the visible range by the setting means and an image at the outside of the range in different display forms.
