PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for an optical fiber capable of being easily operated, regardless of the right hand or the left hand and moreover whose cutting blades are easily replaced. SOLUTION: This cutter for the optical fiber is provided with a fixing part 20 for pressing the core wire 11a of the optical fiber 11 at two points after and before a target place, a cutter part which approaches the core wire 11a from the upper side in order to damage the target place and to which the blade 31 is attached, so as to move and operate in the cross direction to the core wire 11a while exerting required pressure, and a pushing-up part 37 for cutting by pushing up the core wire 11a of the damaged target place from the lower side. |
