PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accepted regular password and the number of digits thereof from being leaked by echo processing. SOLUTION: The character code of a command sent from external equipment to become a communicating party is received (S1) and when a command echo is on, that received character code is returned to the external equipment (S4). After the command is completely received, it is judged whether that command is a password input command or not (S5). When it is the password input command and the command echo is set to ON, the received password is invalidated (S11) and the response result 'ERR' is transmitted to the external equipment (S12). |
